Yes Megan, literally, sadly it is now called ‘the frog and forget me not’ I think the ‘cock inn’ was more to the point (tee hee) In fact there are 3 ponds on the common, eagle pond, long pond, and….wait for it….mount pond (oh dear) ‘cock pond’ is now a paddling pool for toddlers (oh dear)…here endeth a brief history of the common.

Its not pointing towards Cock Pond is it? Believe it or not Cock Pond is the name of the Pond on Clapham Common.
Ive also asked a serial bummer who I work with and he lives in clapham and knows nothing about it!
